Our shelves are 35mm thick and include hidden brackets for floating installation or milled in slats for installation in an alcove. You can also order just shelves so that you can install them on brackets. Insert wood type, finish, length and depth of your shelf to calculate the price. Our newest addition is Eco Oak: solid oak that is just a little less polished and shiny than our standard oak. It might have some more knots or some rough spots here and there. This way we can produce more shelves out of one tree and we use less electricity sanding and planing the shelves. Better for the environment and for your wallet!
Tick the box in step 2 if you would like us to install or deliver your shelf. Within Amsterdam we install or deliver your shelf ourselves. Installation costs are €160,- and just delivery is €80,-. If you live outside of Amsterdam we will send you a quote based on your address.
No mounting materials will be included if you select this option. We will make you a wooden shelf in the dimensions you want, you provide the brackets yourself.
Floating shelves have milled in brackets for floating installation. These are special, strong pins that are mounted on the wall. The shelf slides over the pins. If your shelf has a wall on one side then please let us know so we can mill in an extra slat that can be mounted on the side wall for extra stability.
If your shelf will have walls on 3 sides, we can use wooden slats for the installation. The slats are mounted on the walls and the shelf slides over the slats, so there’s no mounting brackets visible.

You can pick the following European wood types: beech, oak, elm, ash or walnut. Look at some examples on our website or even better, stop by our store to see which wood you prefer. For floating shelves the sturdiness of the wall that the shelves will be mounted on is important. Please let us know where the shelf will be mounted (in a corner, in an alcove or ‘loose’ on the wall) and on what type of wall (brick, concrete or plaster?).
A shelf that will be mounted in an alcove or in a corner can be deeper than a floating shelf, because the side mounting provides more sturdiness. For a floating shelf we advise a maximum depth of 25-30cm, especially if you’re planning to put heavy things like books or tableware on them!
We source our wood ourselves, so our shelves are made of solid ‘raw’ wood. You can choose to keep the organic shape of the tree in your shelf, we will just remove the bark and sand the shelf so it feels nice and smooth. This is called a ‘live edge’.
We finish our wooden shelves with oil or varnish to protect them from dirt and moisture. Oil will give the wood a darker, warmer look while the structure of the wood is still tangible. Varnish provides more of a durable protective layer on the wood and is better suited to protect the wood from excessive moisture in wet spaces like bathrooms.
